When my mom was in town for Mother’s Day we did nearly everything on my list! It was a busy weekend but felt so good to be productive while also having fun. One of the best parts of our time together was that we got my mom closer to finding a dress for my brother’s upcoming wedding. The feeling for the nuptials is boho and Anthropologie-inspired and we wanted something in the color family of the decor. A boho style is quite a departure from my mom’s style, so we went to four stores to try to find a dress she’d love as mother of the groom.

Of course our last stop, BHLDN, was the most successful – being that it’s Anthropologie’s wedding shop. When we left the store my mom felt great about three options and I had to admit they did really corner a market for boho brides. However, my mom isn’t one to settle easily, and by the time we were home she was already searching online for more dress options. I started looking too, and turned to Rent the Runway.

Since I already did the legwork for my mom, I thought I’d share the picks here, too. They seem to match the Anthropologie muse description well: soft & delicate; boho chic; easy cool; elegant classic; all but modern sporty. This is my second Rent the Runway wedding guest dresses post (the first was for a brunch wedding with inspiration from the royal wedding). I linked below to any of the wedding guest dresses picture above that are available for sale instead of renting, as well as similar options and ones we admired at BHLDN.
