This weekend one of the bloggers I follow mentioned she’d be in Chicago for the first time. She asked what she should definitely do/see and of course received hundreds of different responses! I was scrolling through people’s comments and agreed with them all. There are too many to choose! One reoccurring one, though, was an architecture river boat tour. Having just been on the Wendella Tours (a third time on an architecture tour!), I have to agree.
Sure “architectural” may remind you of a boring lesson plan in school, but these boat tours really allow you to see Chicago from a whole new angle, and you’ll have a whole new appreciation for the Windy City history. I love all of the tours along the river! There are so many stories to tell about Chicago’s history even along the river! I took my mom on the tour a few years ago and she still talks about how cool it was to this day!! I totally agree and recommend it! 🙂

Chicago is on my short list. I’ve already picked out a dozen Airbnb places that I liked. What areas of the city would you suggest staying in? I’m not familiar with Chicago neighborhoods.
