SOCAL Wedding Guest

The bf and I headed to California last week to enjoy a long Memorial Day weekend and partake in wedding festivities with his friends. If you follow along on Instagram, you may have gotten the sense that I LOVED my time there. And you’d be correct. The weather was actually a little chilly for the time of year (it was warmer in Chicago – since when does that happen?!) but I didn’t care because feeling the sun beat down on me made up for it. The skies were also clear and everything seemed to be so bright. Therefore, I thought this dress was perfect for the newlyweds’ Sunday brunch.

The brunch was at a Malibu vineyard and I definitely felt soooo LA. There were lots of people there for the day so it was great for people watching. We didn’t stay long because we still had more on our list to do while on the West Coast. We also had to stop by perhaps one of the top photographed locations in LA, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. I’m sorry to say time didn’t allow for us to go in and actually view the art, but it’s on my list for our next visit!

This Trina Turk dress is probably one of my favorite things I’ve chosen from Rent the Runway to date. It’s ladylike and pretty, but the laser cut skirt makes it easy to dress up or down. The cut of the dress is also flattering. I’m so happy I had the chance to try it out and for such a special occasion. I’ll share the rest of my Cali trip with you this week, and I hope you had just as fun of a weekend, too!
