Around this time last year I started to really want the white booties I was seeing all of the bloggers wear on Instagram. But the thing was, while they looked good on Instagram, I didn’t know if they’d also look good in real life. White booties just seemed so impractical for someone who most days walked to and from work and rode public transit in the city. Plus, all of the pairs of women’s white booties I was seeing were so expensive. I didn’t want to pay more than about $50 for something that could very well get scuffed during the first wear.
After not finding a pair that fit the bill, I’d talked myself out of the booties – or so I thought. I kept seeing them on seemingly everyone on my Instagram feed, and began looking in stores again. Despite thinking everyone had a pair, I couldn’t find one that I loved! I didn’t want a pair too reminiscent of the 70s, and I didn’t want a pair that looked like cowboy boots. That left very few options last spring, and I was worried I’d missed the trend.
I finally found a pair at DSW that were in my price range and cute. But, after sitting with them, I decided they were too unique. I wanted a pair I could wear week after week that’d complement any outfit. I kept my eye out and couldn’t believe it when I came across THE pair onsale at Macy’s! And they were Aldo at that – a great brand for only $60! Once they arrived in the mail I was ecstatic. The booties were comfortable, cute and went with so many outfits. And with that, my love story began.
As you can see, I’ve been able to wear these white booties with so many outfits for so many occasions. What’s great is I can even wear them for long stretches of time, to walk around, and feel completely comfortable. What’s not great is that since I bought these shoes last year, they’re no longer for sale. But, fear not. I’ve found very similar women’s white booties that are for sale.
