This Weekend

The Good Girl Book Review

This week was incredibly hectic but filled with some fun stuff! Besides finally getting to try a ramen restaurant, I started physical therapy for my back. Ok, so maybe that’s not exactly fun, but as I get older I’m realizing more that I need to start taking care of my body. If that means working with someone a few nights a week to strengthen or stretch muscles, then I’m down!

Aside from my busy evenings, I also attended several sessions at Social Media Week Chicago. I left feeling really inspired and swore I was going to go back to my desk and work on only social media! Of course that didn’t happen, but the ideas are still there. Even if you didn’t get to attend SWM, this weekend why don’t you…

  1. Browse the Social Media Week Chicago hashtag to get some good nuggets of wisdom. I tweeted some key takeaways, too.
  2. Pick up a good book – I just finished the “The Good Girl” based on Amanda’s recommendation.
  3. Dress up a turtleneck with a fun skirt like Johanna of 101 Things I Love.
  4. Make sure you have a sturdy umbrella for a particularly rainy fall. I came across this adorable umbrella after mine broke this week!
  5. Get a glimpse into the sexy (sometimes controversial) world of tattooing celebrities.

Did you like Good Girl? I really enjoyed it even though it left me with such a creepy feeling!

Physically therapy for your back is my kind of party! lol. My mom and sister always throw their backs out so they’re constantly stopping by the physical therapy office. Lucky for them, I worked their in high school so my old boss gives them the treatment for free 🙂 I hope your back is feeling better soon! Anyways, like I said on you IG, I’m definitely adding that book to my reading list 🙂

Yes, I’m almost happy I hurt my back, which forced me to get into PT! Thanks for stopping by.
