Well, this post is a long time coming, but better late than never, right? In 2018, my husband’s parents rented a house in Ireland about an hour outside of Galway. Their invite to host us spurred a two week vacation in Ireland, Italy and England. I’d never been to any of the countries, the only place I’d traveled to in Europe previously was Spain. Traveling to Europe and the unknown gave me a little bit of anxiety, truthfully. (Read the post I wrote with tips I found to be most helpful.) Luckily, Steve is the planner in our relationship and he found so many great things to do in Europe, not that there’s a shortage of them! But with only a few days in each city and a budget, it was important to me that we get to experience the culture of each country. But, I also wanted to feel like we were on a vacation – so saved time to relax!
I compiled my favorite activities into a video, thanks to an iPhone app. See below for the video and a list of the top few activities we did in each country. Like I said, obviously there are plenty of things to do in Europe, so advice from friends and strangers on travel sites helped us plan what we felt was a perfect vacation!
