#Lolla2015

As you may know from Instagram, I went to my first Lollapalooza this past Friday. And let me say, #Lolla2015 was so. much. fun! Everything worked in my boyfriend’s and my favor. The weather was a little hot, but sunny, and the crowds weren’t too bad. We saw several bands (duh), people-watched and camped out for an amazing view at the Paul McCartney show to top off the night.

I had been pretty negative about Lolla before I went, but I didn’t know how wrong I’d be! Although I kind of walked away thinking, “Kids these days…” (the amount of bralettes and high waisted shorts, unbelieveable!), the festival wasn’t as wild as I thought it’d be. Ages ranged from families playing card games together in fields, to college kids letting loose, to empty-nesters just enjoying the music. It was seriously so much fun that I woke up the next day asking my boyfriend “Don’t you wish we had a three-day pass?!”

So would I go back a second time? It’s hard to say. I’d have to weigh the cost of the ticket against the bands playing and the uncertainty of the weather. Had it been just a little hotter or a giant rainstorm there’s no way I would have enjoyed the festival as much. But, I think my boyfriend was right when he said everyone should experience it once – and then you can decide it you wanna go back!
