GAMEDAY STYLE

With football season in full swing, my boyfriend has gotten me to watch more football games than I’d choose to on my own. (The count’s at about five.) While I do love beer and bar food, dressing for game day festivities is a whole other story. To help with that, I’ve rounded up some looks that bridge the gap between bloganista and football fanatic. Take a look below at ways to incorporate your style into game day fashion.

Yes, it’s possible to still look girly and be comfortable on game day. A simple cotton dress in your school colors layered with a jean or leather jacket can take you from day to night … because if there’s anything I learned this football season, it’s that there’s a game day or night on the weekend.

Want a way to recycle that old school T-shirt? Layer it with trendy pieces in coordinating colors. Your school spirit will still shine through underneath the leather jacket or with the peep-toe booties.

Just because you’re going to a game watch doesn’t mean you have to scream “GO TEAM!” with your outfit. Choosing an accessory, like a scarf or hat, in your team colors is enough to show everyone who you’re cheering for.

Buy fashionable pieces sporting your team’s logo.

In the last few years brands have started to get that some women want to cheer for their favorite teams in clothes that they would actually wear outside of a football stadium. Enter PINK College and Pro Apparel and other shops offering fitted, stylish team clothes. No more wearing a baggy college T-shirt if you don’t want to.

Now are you ready to go out and cheer on your team? 1, 2, 3, break!
