Wedding season is in full swing, in fact, I’m heading to a family wedding this weekend! I love getting to be part of a couple’s special day, and any excuse to dress up and eat cake is one that I’ll take.
To keep up with the desire to have a new dress for each occasion and photo opp, I’ve not only been using Rent the Runway, I’ve also been getting creative with pairing separates. I recently went to a wedding where I paired a crop top and circle skirt, and here I did something similar with a different silhouette. An all-black ensemble with a pleated peplum top and pencil skirt is classy yet playful. Plus, you can make it work for all seasons, by adding a fur capelet for the winter or jewel tone accessories in the fall. Really, when I have this many options for ways to wear an outfit, I almost wish I were receiving more wedding invites!
