I’ve really slowed down on buying new items since I started my Rent the Runway Unlimited subscription, but every season there are a few key pieces I want hanging in my closet for good. This year it’s a teddy coat and suede skirt. If you’d told me several months ago that I’d be dying to own a teddy coat I would have told you that you were crazy! When the piece first gained popularity I hated them. They’re not the most flattering, although I admit they beat the fleeces I usually wear in the fall. As time went on and I saw so many versions of teddy coats and so many women rocking them, it was hard to resist wanting one myself. So that was first on my list for my recent SheIn partnership. This teddy coat cutest. I’m not the only one who thinks so, either. It gets me compliments from strangers on the street! And the first thing I always say back is “Feel it – it’s so soft!” For a relatively inexpensive item, I was impressed by how soft and warm this coat actually is. I can see myself wearing it through fall. Now the suede skirt, from SheIn, was also a surprise but in another way. When I pulled it out of the packaging I was alarmed to find out it’s very thin. It’s definitely a “you get what you paid for” piece. I mean, how much fabric can you buy for just $11? As you can see though, there’s no issue when wearing the skirt. With a pair of tights, I felt completely comfortable. And together, the teddy coat and suede skirt make an adorable outfit. I can mix and match with other accessories (like a hat) to change up my look.

I’m so excited I have both of these items hanging in my closet for the rest of the season. The color palette and textured materials just scream “fall” to me and have already been mixed and matched several times.
