Bridging the gap: comfort and style

As you’ve probably gathered, as a blogger I’ve never really been one for athleisure wear. Sincerely, Jennie wearing frumpy sweats? No way! Give her a pencil skirt or a-line dress and she’ll feel her best. But as my friends and I like to joke, Sincerely, Jennie is my alter ego, while Jennie Szink, well that’s the real me. (Or the other way around, who knows?!) Just plain Jennie loooooves sweats. She changes into them the second she gets in the door after work. She wears them to the grocery store, on her long walks to Rent the Runway, even sometimes to and from work when it’s cold out. But that’s the Jennie you were never going to see on the blog – that is, not until now. I found a compromise for the blogger and the girl who loves comfort!

In this installment of my SheIn partnership, I chose athleisure wear that was perfect for an active trip to San Francisco. The first day that Steve and I were in the city, we had a lot of walking planned. The weather kept fluctuating from warm and sunny to cloudy and cold, so I needed to dress in layers. Sweatpants and a light jacket from SheIn were perfect. Not to mention, I felt pretty dang good in these sweats, which are nothing like the old Champion ones I wear of Steve’s. They hugged my curves and dare I say were sexy with a bodysuit! (Or maybe I’ve been too influenced by the Kardashians’ athleisure wear trend.) Don’t forget you can use code  Q1sincerelyjennie15 for 15% off your SheIn order.

Sure, I felt a little bit like I was back in the 90s, but hey, this Jennie is going to take advantage of comfortable clothes being in style. And, you can certainly make a whole outfit out of the athleisure wear with coordinating pink sneakers and pink heart shaped earrings (via my Rocksbox subscription). This ain’t your elementary school dodge ball sweatpants outfit. I mean, if anything, it makes for some great Golden Gate Bridge pics.
