The Mr. and Ms. Collection

As I mentioned in past posts, my fiancé and I had a chance to try out The Mr. and The Ms. Collection, a clothing rental service. The collections call themselves the “Netflix of clothing.” After you fill out a style survey and your size guide, a personal stylists sends you four pieces of clothing or accessories at a time for you to wear and then return, or keep.

Steve and I both had such a fun time getting our clothes in each pack and, once we sent them back, waited eagerly to see what would come next. Brands sent by The Ms. Collection include Tart, Romeo & Juliet Couture, Sanctuary, Bobeau, Eliza J, Sugarlips and Calvin Klein. The Men’s Collection offers brands such as 7 Diamonds, Original Penguin, Ralph Lauren, Bruun & Stengade, Michael Kors, Surfside Supply, Calvin Klein and Kenneth Cole. The rotating closet really helped us spruce up our wardrobe. Steve especially liked that it helped him get out of the clothing rut. His stylist sent him clothes he might not normally pick out on his own, like a pink button down or striped linen top.

In fact, Steve liked the service so much he has ordered another month of The Mr. Collection. For $50, he gets to wear the clothes from each pack and keep them as long he wants, then send them back for new ones. If he really liked a piece of clothing, he could buy it for a “member price,” which is less than retail. Steve really enjoys rotating packs quickly so he can have new clothes for every summer event including bachelor parties or beach vacations. It’s fun to see him finally get as excited over clothes as I do!

I also liked The Ms. Collection, and could see it being perfect for women who don’t have time for shopping, would like help from a personal stylist or simply want to add to their wardrobe without needing to purchase all new clothes at retail price. I did feel like Steve had an easier time getting his sizing right (guys can be so lucky sometimes), so be sure to fill out your survey and talk to your stylist in great detail about your body type so that your first pack will be perfect!
