Poshmark Find

Can you guys believe I only recently got into the online resale shop Poshmark? I’ve known about the app for a while, but it wasn’t until I was moving and needed to clean out my closet that I set up my virtual closet. Poshmark lets users upload photos of clothes, accessories and makeup they’re selling so other users can browse to buy. I spent about two hours one afternoon organizing my items, steaming them and taking dozens of photos. Within hours, my hard work paid off and I had two sales! With a little bit of extra money in my pocket, I started browsing other closets. When I kept clicking on this turban to view it I knew it was time to pull the trigger. Within days, this hair accessory arrived on my doorstep, giving me plenty of amusement as I tried different ways to style a turban headband.

The most obvious way to style a turban headband is to wear it traditionally across all of your hair. This proved to be tricky because I didn’t want to style my hair like a helmet. Once I tucked it all into the headband around the sides, I was happy with the ways my curls cascaded out. My friend also said I looked very Serena van der Woodsen, so I was on board.

I also had fun trying to style a turban headband in an updo. There could be many ways to do this using braids, pinned curls and more to make each look different. I chose to keep it simple, wrapping my hair up and around the headband and pinning it in. I definitely see this being a favorite style as the days get hotter.

Other ways I tried to style the accessory resulted in making a faux headband, pulling my hair up into a high ponytail and creating volume on top as the curls fell over it, so that the look had a little 60s nostalgia. It was so fun trying out this new hair accessory I’d found, and I was even happier I had purchased it with money that didn’t even make a dent in my wallet. Poshmark is definitely one of my new favorite ways to refresh my closet, but both cleaning it out and adding to it! What about you, have you tried it yet?
