Playing Favorites

When I first purchased a pair of pink suede pumps I thought it was a treat, perhaps even a bit frivolous. Flash forward to several months later, and oh how wrong I was. I’ve worn them a lot, and with all kinds of outfits. I wanted to share some of my favorite ways to wear colored heels, and included similar pairs below.

1. To add a pop of color. Wearing all black and white? All black, or all white? Wear pink heels to stand out!

2. To work. You may not automatically think pink heels + work = match made in heaven, but they can dress up an otherwise plain outfit.

3. To be matchy-matchy. IMO, there’s no such thing as too much pink. So why not wear your pink heels with a pink outfit to top the whole thing off.

4. To dress up casual wear. Pink heels with grey jeans or an oversized T are unexpected, and cute. Slip them on to take a casual outfit day to night.

5. To replace booties. This winter, why not go replace boots with heels and sheer pantyhose for a sexier look?

6. To complement another color. Not only can pink heels add to a pink outfit, they can also play opposite complementary colors, like greens.
