Is there anything better than a pencil skirt and pair of pumps that make you feel confident and sexy? No, there is not. At least, not in your closet. The funny thing about these shoes is that I picked them out quickly the day I’d forgotten shoes for Sarah’s fake “champagne campaign,” also known as that time I got engaged. I didn’t really need a new pair of shoes other than to take pictures in that day. They were cute when I bought them, but now I’m pretty attached because every time I wear them I remember what happened the first day I slipped them on. They’re like Carrie’s Manolos, only without the embellishment or the price tag.

Let’s talk about this floral skirt. Florals seem to be a sticking point for me this spring (see last week’s post) but I’m not complaining. Blue was my favorite color before pink was (I have Mean Girls to thank for that), and every time I wear it I’m again reminded why. It’s such a flattering color for people with blue eyes and instantly makes me feel happy when wearing it. Do you have a color that does that for you?
